Co-design and create an evidence animation
What is it?
It’s an opportunity to work as part of a small group to help co-design a short animation that explains our HDRC evidence pie, what evidence is and how we use it.
You will be working with a local animator to help create the video in a way that helps people easily understand what evidence is. The video will be made using stop motion animation so this opportunity gives you a chance to get stuck in and create the pictures for the video if you would like!

What will I be asked to do?
- Join a small working group to help co-create the animation.
Share ideas and suggestions about what evidence is and how this could be shown in an animation
Get involved in the design of the animation (we are using stop motion so you can help draw/colour the designs)
Work as a team to make the animation easy to understand (using accessible language and images)
Listen to others’ ideas and respect people’s suggestions
The Public and Community Engagement Officer will be available to assist and support you to undertake this opportunity.
What experience do I need?
- A basic understanding of what evidence is AND
- Experience of creating animations or videos OR
Experience of working as part of team on a creative project OR
Experience of sharing information in an accessible way
How long am I expected to be involved for?
You must be able to attend the first working group meeting outlined below:

Up to 5 other meetings will be held between October and January. Dates will be worked out with all members of the working group.

What are the benefits for me?

Your involvement will ensure the video is easy to understand and clearly shares information about what evidence is
The animation will be published on our website with your name credited
What support will you offer me?
- Direct support is available from the HDRC Team in understanding your role and answering any questions.
Practical support to attend meetings is available
