This session introduces practical ways to find and use academic research for policy, services, and strategy. It covers where to search, how to avoid cherry‑picking, and how to assess the quality of research. A strong focus is placed on critical reading - understanding what is said and what is missing, not just what is published.

This session is aimed at an introductory level.

    This course will take place on Microsoft Teams. You don’t need to download anything to join. Just click the link (which will be sent prior to the course date) and join in your web browser. Joining via a laptop or computer is recommended for the best experience however you can also join from a mobile device. You can download the Teams app if you prefer, but it’s not required.
