Making Use of Engagement

These sessions are designed to develop skills in each type of evidence in the Evidence Pie.
By attending this session, you will be developing skills in:

Join us to explore how meaningful engagement and co-production can be used to improve decision-making, services, and outcomes.
During this course you will be introduced to the principles of community engagement and co-production, methods and activities that could be used to engage with key stakeholders, and examples of what good engagement looks like in practice. This course highlights the importance of working with people, and recognising lived experience as a valuable resource within our communities.
During this short course we will cover:
- What community engagement is and why it matters
- The principles of co-production and how it differs from consultation
- Common barriers to engagement and practical ways to overcome them
- A range of engagement methods, including methods for informing, consulting, engaging and coproducing
- How to begin your coproduction journey
- What good engagement looks like in practice
Target Audience:
- Frontline practitioners and officers delivering services
- Managers and team leaders
- People who are interested in using the lived experiences of our local community

This is an online session held on Microsoft Teams. You can join using the link provided - you don’t need a Teams account.

The session will last around 2 hours. You’ll be able to listen, take part, and ask questions.
