The Council employs over 10,000 staff across its departments. Council staff play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of local communities by shaping the everyday conditions people live in. RCT HDRC can help staff understand what really affects people’s health and how their work can help to address health inequalities by supporting them to:
Accessing, interpreting and using the best available data
Develop skills, knowledge and confidence to collect, interpret and use evidence in everyday work
Develop new research ideas to address gaps in evidence.
This short video from our funder, the NIHR, explains how RCT CBC staff involved in research can make a difference.
For more information, take a look at our related projects on the top right of this page or contact us. RCT CBC staff can also look for the HDRC section on INFORM or RCT Source for more tailored resources.
