Our Partner Organisations

Our Partner organisations are local community groups, charities or organisations who offer specialist knowledge and expertise to the work of the HDRC. Since 2024, many of them have teamed up with us to help build our team, set up our work processes, and improve communication.
But they don’t just help behind the scenes—they also join us on real projects, working together to make a change for our community.
Here are just a few examples of how we have worked / are working together:
Collaborating to Create an Accessible Website (Make A Change RCT)
We invited community organisations to join a working group alongside members of the HDRC team, Council staff and the public. Together, we explored how to design and develop this very website to make sure it is easy to use and meets the needs of everyone.
- Louise Tombs from NextGen Digital Solutions (external link) shared their professional expertise to help us design the site. Having supported over 20 companies in 2023 alone, Louise brought valuable insights into creating user-friendly and inclusive websites.
- Ethan Jones from People and Work (external link) contributed thoughtful perspectives based on their two years of experience working with digitally excluded individuals in the Rhondda Valley. Ethan's insights helped ensure our platform is accessible to those who may struggle with online information.
Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, our website is built with accessibility and inclusivity at its heart.
Child Poverty Project
We invited community organisations to support a working group (external link) with Elected Members (RCT Councillors) focused on addressing child poverty in RCT. The goal is to explore what the Council can do within its power to address poverty stigma and help break the cycle of poverty for children and families.
This important work is still ongoing, and several organisations have stepped in to share their expertise, guiding the Council toward evidence-based solutions that can create real change.

Together, we’re shaping practical actions that will improve future outcomes for children living in poverty.
